These machines routinely work, hold and finish parts within tenths of an inch (.0001). Extremely accurate positioning produces outstanding accuracy for bore sizes as well as locating and holding dimensions.

Often, these two machines would be the last stop for a part before being inspected or approved by a coordinate measuring machine. In fact, these machines can hold and repeat such accuracy that they can be used in place of a finish grinding machine for bore callouts that are ± .0002.

Machine operations of milling, boring, drilling and tapping are aided programmed from CAD provided by our customers. We use 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD models along with CAM software from Mastercam to program parts to exact customer specification.

LPB has a variety of extremely high accuracy tables from manufacturers such as Eimeldingen/Rusach, Pratt & Whitney, SIP and ROTAB. These tables can accommodate workpieces of various sizes and allow finish bores and diameters to maintain true position, parallelism and perpendicularity to the most discerning geometric dimensioning and tolerancing callouts. The Pratt & Whitney 4EA Jig Borer can hold tight tolerances and repeatability on round parts by taking advantage of Rotary Positioning and Milling Tables.
