Horizontal Machining of a Steel Base

Machine Tool Base
Machine Tool Base

We manufactured as well as assembled these five front and rear base assemblies for an Ohio-based client. Fabricated for a machine tool application, these components were horizontally machined to exact specifications from client provided prints and 2D AutoCAD drawings. Various features such as bearing mount holes, 200 mm deep hole at 1° angle, and an O-ring groove were included in the components through machining. Measuring 3000 mm in length, 1800 mm in width, and 600 mm in height, this base assembly was manufactured to the tightest tolerance of 0.1 mm from cast steel. Prior to assembling, the components were deburred and finished to a material finish of 32 RMS.
